Passionate high school students who help shape the future of classical music and public media.

The council includes students in grades 9-12 who are passionate about music, curious learners, and community builders. They meet monthly at Minnesota Public Radio HQ in downtown St. Paul throughout the school year. Council members learn about classical music, radio hosting, production, and recording from the Class Notes team and MPR staff.

“The biggest thing I learned from my Teen Council experience is how vast and fluid the world of classical music is!”
“I learned that even though we are all so different in our backgrounds and experiences, music is a common interest that we have.”
“It’s been wonderful exploring what classical music means to me.”

Applications open in mid-September of each school year. Check back to this site for updates and applications.
