Flipside Percussion (Steve Roehm, vibraphone; Jenny Klukken, marimba; Erik Schee, drum set) · Nik Linde

About Flipside: Flipside is a group of three percussionists. Jenny Klukken plays the marimba, Steve Roehm plays vibraphone, and Erik Schee plays drum set. Their musical backgrounds include orchestral percussion, jazz combos, and rock drum set. Collectively, Flipside presents a wide range of musical styles while presenting and embracing improvisation as a core musical value.

Program Description: In their Class Notes Concert, Flipside will play original tunes composed by members of the ensemble and identify and explain their instruments. They will also introduce the concept of improvisation and explain how they work together to improvise as an ensemble. Flipside is able to modify their presentation to accommodate all ages and would be a great fit for a jazz band or percussion ensemble. Due to three large instruments, this group works best in a large space like a gym or auditorium and cannot switch spaces between performances.
