Apply to be a Class Notes Artist

Class Notes is currently seeking artists/ensembles to join our roster for the 2024-25 school year! Applications are due Friday, March 1.

ABOUT CLASS NOTES CONCERTS

Class Notes Concerts is a part of YourClassical MPR’s signature Class Notes education initiative. Class Notes Concerts bring live, in-person concerts performed by professional, Minnesota-based musicians to schools across the entire state of Minnesota. Supported by both the Legacy Amendment and generous donor support, Class Notes Concerts are offered for free to participating schools.

Requirements for Performers/Artists:

  • Ensembles must be Minnesota-based

  • Experience in a K–12 school setting

  • Scheduling flexibility during weekdays

  • Willingness to work in partnership with YourClassical MPR on program logistics and educationally appropriate program design

  • Meet key deadlines and respond to MPR communication (within 24 hours)

  • Willingness to sign media release form and serve as an ambassador for YourClassical MPR

  • Participate in Class Notes Concerts Orientation Session, to be held at MPR headquarters in mid- to late summer. Participants will be paid for orientation time.
