Meet flutist Bethany Summersgill! She will tell you about her instrument and why she chose to play it.
The flute is one of the oldest instruments in the world.
Throughout history, flutes have been made of many different materials, including bone, wood, and glass.
The modern flute has many relatives, including the dizi, a Chinese flute made from bamboo. Watch and listen to Ammy Lin play the dizi here.
Here is more music featuring the flute.
