INTRODUCTION

Meet saxophone player Chris Dickhaus! He will tell you about his instrument and why he chose to play it.

FUN FACTS

  • The saxophone is named after its inventor: Adolphe Sax.

  • Simpsons fans might know that Lisa Simpson plays the saxophone. Here her play a little bit here.

  • Even though the body of the saxophone looks like a brass instrument, the sound is created through the vibration of a reed, so the saxophone is a member of the woodwind family.
